"The Player of Pok-ta-Pok" is a visual ritual, suspended between game and sacrifice, myth and flesh.

The title refers to the ancient Mesoamerican ballgame, where each strike of the ball symbolized a cosmic clash between light and shadow, life and death.

The composition blends an expressive line, mask-like figure, and symbolic forms framed by vivid contrasts. Thick paint textures, bold contours, and rhythmic color tensions create a sense of inner pressure — like an echoing strike that never fades: pok-ta-pok.

"Art is not only the expression of our consciousness, but also the expression of our archetypes, which reside in the depths of the unconscious, through which we connect with deeper levels of our existence."

Karl Gustav-Jung
